This is the first family picture we have had in quite a while, it was good to see Uncle Mike, he surprised us with a quick trip down, leaving on Christmas Day to return to MI. This picture was taken after the present opening swath of destruction had been cleaned up!!! Grandma and Grandpa visited our genetic clinic in Charlotte today to get their blood drawn for carrier testing of Batten. There are implications down the road for cousins and second cousins depending on which side or both sides of the family that the missing gene was inherited from. We will keep you posted on the results.

Brandon and Jeremy were a little on edge visiting again(they hate shots and needles with the Batten illogical compulsivity) but were happy that they were just sitting in the waiting room. Grandma and Grandpa took them to Target afterwards for Pokemon cards as a reward, and then we did dinner at Chuck E Cheese, I have already taken my 3 Tylenol to combat the headache.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday and we look forward to seeing and talking with you in 2008!!!!!

Priceless

Why does the kid never have a shirt on? You would think someone would call DSS or something. He has a Santa hat on for crying out loud...... Couldn't resist this picture though. I had a great moment that I will cherish the other night while putting Brandon to bed. They have a Santa's workshop at school where you send money, a list of people to buy for and how much to spend on each and they help the kids shop. Brandon was telling me what he got for Cubby and we got to giggling thinking about Cubby tearing around on Christmas morning chasing this new toy. You know the VISA commercials...... $5.00 for a Cubby toy, the laughs you have just thinking about it PRICELESS.

It's the most wonderful time.....of the year!!

Can't believe it's been so long since I have posted, things are slowly getting back to normal here. Wendy is on the mend, but now coming down with a cold or the flu.

Quick story. We put up the Christmas tree and decorated it last weekend over two days. We couldn't figure out why the kids were bouncing off the walls all day Sunday. So it is time to put them in bed Sunday night and Jeremy says: "Wait, we forgot to put out the milk and cookies for Santa!!!" DUDE, you have like three weeks to go until Christmas, relax!!!!! Why do I get the feeling we are in for a long three weeks?

Thank you to my friend Bill for providing two Christmas trees and wreaths to our winning bidders from our May fundraiser, both families have gotten their prizes this week and they looked great. If you are near the Greensboro Farmer's Market check them out, Avery County Firs.
